the position is a hybrid - must be in the office one day a week.
top 3 technical skills?
1) must have worked for purchasing department a manufacturing company in the past,
2) must have intermediate excel & ms office skills
3) must have familiarity with erp system
duties:
follow up with suppliers for order confirmations, expected ship dates and tracking information
enter order confirmations and alert buyers of any irregularities
data entry projects and report generation
monitor inventory and alert buyers of upcoming shortages
analyze inventory and initiate purchase orders as necessary
create inventory transfer orders
work with receiving and accounting to resolve discrepancies
skills needed:
excellent written and oral communication skills
1+ years experience of purchasing in a manufacturing environment
familiarity with an integrated enterprise resource planning (erp) system
intermediate excel (basic formulas, v-look-up)
well versed other ms office products (word, pp & outlook).
