quality engineer will work with individuals and teams within the abb athens plant to resolve discrepant material issues and in-process quality problems, conducts root cause analysis to eliminate scrap and process variation with in motion business area in athens, georgia region while assisting or leading the continuous improvement projects.

quality manager
your responsibilities
develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for manufacturing processes.work to maximize economic value-added impact of projects through process improvement or cost cutting measures.conduct root cause analysis for product or process deviation and recommends or implements corrective actions.promote the adoption of improved technologies, processes and tools to achieve the highest possible product quality.communicate and initiate appropriate actions to define, monitor and correct process and/or product defects.work with cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues
your background
bachelor’s degree in engineering with 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.competent use of common quality assurance methods and tools such as spc, process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, formal problem solving and the development of control plans.strong project management and problem-solving skillsexcellent written and verbal skills and proficient in using of microsoft office programs.six sigma black belt is a plus and certified quality engineer certification must be attained within two years of hire.candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the usa
