a day in the life of a food service director

as a full-time food service director, you enjoy interacting with and providing high-quality meals for our residents and staff. during your shift, you provide supervision to the dietary department ensuring a sanitary and orderly environment for food preparation. under the direction of a location administrator, you supervise the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, maintain food and supply inventories to match the current menu, manage the department staff schedule, and provide coaching and leadership to department staff. you also adapt menu changes in correlation to nursing guidelines and resident preferences.

qualifications for a food service director
