we are currently hiring fsa’s for the

 child welfare safety program

 

provide administrative, clerical and direct service support to internal staff as well as children and families.

responsibilities:

engage clients in the community to include homes, schools and hospitals document client contacts and interactions consult with team members & attorneys regarding safety and wellbeing of children assess child safety and risk family time/visitation supervision, observation, coaching and support home safety checks transportation to appointments or school supervision of minor children during case meetings, court appearances etc. completion of cps sheets and letters.

knowledge, skills & abilities:

knowledge of human behavior, metal health, child development, substance abuse, child abuse or neglect, domestic violence and parenting skills. skill in instructing others in basic living task skills to engage with children and families skills to identify needs of family ability to communicate both orally and in writing ability to plan and manage activities ability to work as a team and independently ability to manage multiple task simultaneously ability to work on microsoft office with advances skills-specifically excel ability to type documents

 

must be able to:

pass federal, state & cps background checks as required by licensing possess a valid driver’s license in the state of va or nc & acceptable driving record by the dmv and proof of valid car insurance and maintain acceptable status to meet job requirements.

 

qualifications & experience needed:

4 year of experience above the high school level and/or exp. working in the human services field. bachelor’s degree preferred in the human service related field prior experience with child welfare preferred
