Purpose

this position will generate revenue and grow market share for a specific group of product categories. they will work closely with domestic customers and german product management to bring new product ideas to the product range. additionally, they will manage pricing and promotions for product category and related accessories to maximize sales and profit.

competitive compensation extensive benefits, such as health insurance effective within one month of start, multiple bonus opportunities, relocation assistance, 401(k) with company match and pension! job duties & responsibilities analyzes market data, including product specific sales, overall sales volume, demographics, and competitive product releases and pricing strategies for assigned product lines. schedules meetings and travels to branches, distributors and dealers to introduce or to follow up on product launch / promotion efforts and to exchange information with the field sales forces of distribution in regards to basic product-related needs, end-user input, and the general market environment. works closely with technical services and customer service in reviewing formal complaints and assists with resolutions working with technical services and andreas stihl product management. participates with cost accounting, marketing management, and other internal personnel in the development of product pricing. participates in the development of sales forecasts with sales planning. participates when possible in trade shows, end-user presentations, and other similar events by presenting assigned product lines.  develops presentation and materials for a wide variety of audiences. responds to product-related informational requests from internal and external departments/personnel and serves as the primary contact for customer service issues and marketing communication questions pertaining to the product line. assists other product managers with customer service requirements as needed. assumes additional related responsibilities as needed. specifications bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred in business or marketing. 5+ years of related product or brand marketing experience preferred. excellent communication skills with skilled negotiation experience. intermediate knowledge of microsoft office software, including word, excel, power point & outlook. excellent verbal skills as well as presentation skills. ability to travel an average of 5 days per month of overnight travel by road and/or air.
