exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team in our intelligence group as a business development operations analyst! the business development operations analyst is responsible for bd data accuracy and reporting and action item management in support of day-to-day bd operations.  this support includes ensuring all bd data accuracy in winit and reconciliations with contracts and finance, facilitating monthly group pipeline reviews, closest-to-the-pin updates, wins and losses tracking, coordination of trade shows, consolidation and dissemination of weekly 5x15 reports, supporting establishment of charge numbers and iwos, and coordination with the intel group power users to ensure all data for bd is accurate and actions are tracked and responded to. 


the group bd operations analyst will work collaboratively across the company to ensure success, build relationships with counterparts in bd&s in the other groups and other functions to promote collaboration.  ensure all bd actions are tracked and responded to, and provide ad-hoc and routine support to the group line and bd management, operations managers, strategy lead, and bd svp in all activities related to business development and strategy.  in this role, you are expected to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, handle multiple simultaneous tasks, and proactively identify gaps and areas for improvement for the bd operations overall.


primary responsibilities:

own and drive the optimization of the business development pipeline, opportunity entry, submits entry, award entry, and general data management in the system on a daily basisown and drive weekly meetings for business development strategy and performance metric reviewproduce and own new business fund expenditure forecast and actuals analysis. also required to provide insights as this position has daily conversations with individuals from all corners of the operation.analyze large amounts of diverse data sets and effectively communicate trends within imo and our broader civil organization.create reports and powerpoint presentations for monthly leadership briefings (monthly operations review/ new business reviews), working with director of proposals, account managers, and business development leads to ensure material is accurate and complete.learn imo services and offerings, attend bid approval reviews, go no-go meetings and track opportunities as they move through the commercial lifecycle.  support the capture process and provide research to support the bd team as needed. prepare ad hoc reports and data calls from leadership.pipeline administration, maintenance and optimization that supports department level metrics, ensuring that all content is up to date and accurately represents the organization’s pipeline of opportunities.support business development leads with identifying and tracking new business opportunities and maintain updates.  leads regular pipeline assessment with key stakeholders.supports forecasting and account planning.provides key support to routine and non-routine business development reporting and overall business development support for the organization.• cross-functional staff member that may support various capture, analysis, competitor assessments and research efforts. provides input to process improvement and lead implementation. 

basic qualifications:

bachelor’s degree in business or related field with at least 2 years of applicable experience.  broad understanding of a business development pipeline.strong presentation skills. high attention to detail, but able to see the big picture.willingness to support captures where needed, work late hours and meet deadlines.a motivation to excel and grow in the bd organization.have a basic understanding of the enterprise-wide business development process and acquire an in depth understanding of the imo organization.ability to work collaboratively with business development and sales services. ability to travel 20-25% depending on current captures and business initiatives.demonstrated mastery of excel, powerpoint and other ms office productsmust have strong written and verbal communication skill


pay range:

pay range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00
