we are hiring family service specialist to work in adult foster care.

job responsibilities

access and approve individuals seeking placement in into adult foster care job responsibilities access client’s placement needs provide direct and or referral services to clients assessment of client’s placement needs develop appropriate plan to ensure compliance interpret & apply interview information to access and route client placement for services

knowledge & abilities

of aging and adult foster home programs assisted living and nursing homes placement criteria. of adult risk factors. human behavior, mental disorders and adult and geriatric behavior community resources to make referrals for clients interviewing, assessing client needs social work principals tanf food stamps diversionary assistants, medicaid, /medicare programs basic counseling skills communicate with clients strong written and oral communication skills basic organization and able to multi task computer skills in peer place outlook, word, excel and power point

qualifications:

two (2) years in adult protective services or working directly with the older and disabled adult population. bachelor's degree in a human services field (social work, counseling, gerontology, guidance and counseling, family and child development, psychology or sociology) and three (3) years of experience in a human services field bachelor's degree in any field accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a human services

must be able to:

pass federal, state & cps background checks as required by licensing possess a valid driver’s license in the state of va or nc & acceptable driving record by the dmv and proof of valid car insurance and maintain acceptable status to meet job requirements.

pay rate $23.95
