Janitorial/cleaning - united states, rockhampton

manpower is seeking experienced custodians/janitors to take care of cleaning and sanitation duties at a local university. the goal is to keep the buildings in a clean and orderly condition. all positions are temp to hire!

responsibilities

clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
stock and maintain supply rooms
cooperate with the rest of the staff
follow all health and safety regulations
skills

proven working experience as a janitor
ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
familiarity with material safety data sheets
integrity and ability to work independently
high school diploma/ged equivalent
ability to pass a background check
must be fully vaccinated
must get negative covid test before 1st day of work
full time (monday - friday) 1st shift and 2nd shift available!
$14.00 hr

1st shift: 7am - 4:00pm
2nd shift: 2pm - 11pm
some weekends required on a rotating basis. hours are 8am-2pm.
