safely operate a wheelchair van transporting severely disabled, intellectual disabled clients to and from agency site based programs.

duties to include but not limited to operate a hydraulic lift to safely load and unload wheelchairs operates safety lockdown system and ensures wheelchairs are properly locked down and secured. monitors the use of adaptive safety device and provides level of support and intervention required to ensure client’s safety and well-being in accordance with existing behavior plans and human right regulation. provide supervision and caretaking functions.

hours are a split shift – mornings & afternoons.

job requirements

qualifications

must have a virginia driver license and year of professional driving experience and a good driving record.
must have experience with transporting passengers, working with disabled population, experience operating a large vehicle.
employees are required to provide the following at time of hire, valid current va or nc driver’s license, car insurance and dmv. record. employees are required to pass  pre -employment screening before hire.

pay rate $14.29
