role summary
provide technical support, departmental and divisional support. maintain system documentation and accurate records of equipment inventory
key responsibilitiesmaintains and repairs, in conjunction with corporate it support, all pc hardware and peripherals in the facility.
maintain phones (desk and cell) and phone plans including orders, feature changes, analyzing bills, setup phone moves on the local pbx and any other telecommunication request as needed
provide backup to pc administrators and system administrators, answering help desk calls and logging information, resolving issues, generating metric reports and maintaining the software
assist with user’s access to the systems issues including software install, and software updates.
maintain system documentation and diagrams (i.e. microsoft licensing, sox’s documentation, system diagrams, maintenance records).
maintain accurate records of desktop, laptops, servers and other miscellaneous equipment and update inventory system when necessary.
maintain accurate software inventory and insure that all software licenses are up-to-date and update inventory systems when necessary.
updates and installs software onto existing workstations as needed.
order replacement items as needed and log calls for warranty items as needed.
procure supplies as needed (i.e. toner, plotter paper, miscellaneous pc items, etc.)
perform departmental activities (including, but not limited to, mes, t4m, printers, outlook, hardware and software maintenance)
communicate effectively with internal and external customers to assert system requirements related to business needs (i.e. software licensing agreements and sox’s documentation with divisional sites).
provide basic user training on software and hardware products, as needed.
key qualifications/requirementseducation
associates degree in information technology, business administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, bachelor’s degree a plus.
experience/special knowledge/skills
minimum 2 years’ experience in pc administration.
experience with pc based software and operating systems including windows 10, microsoft office, printer setup, loading and configuring software. experience with pbx or asterisk phone systems
ms-sql server experience preferred
inductive automation-ignition, ms.net, siemens, allen bradley, abb robots a plus
technical background to understand products and processes involved.
ability to describe processes through visual tools.
strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks within and across departments to meet established and changing deadlines.
strong communication skills: verbal, written, and technical presentations.
