virginia beach company in need of assistant in order processing & customer service to manage the processing of customer orders and assists sales divisions with general customer service and sales tasks. this is hands on position with lots of interaction.

responsibilities:

order entry of orders received via edi, fax, e-mail or mailproofreading orders for errorsprint and prepare pick tickets for warehouse staffmake changes to orders as requested by sales staff or customersinvoice orders to customersmonitor orders during all steps to proactively identify problemsfiling of invoices and related order paperworkanswer incoming calls while working on other tasksprepare documents for transfer of inventory to canadadaily order routingupdate and maintain item data in software for logistics efficiency (tops software)develop templates and prepare shipments in topsupdate and maintain file of customer vendor/routing guidesassist with obtaining shipping quotes

qualifications:

adjusted wpm speed of 40 or morepro-activevery detailedhighly organizedgood communicatorstrong follow-through skillspositive representative of companyfast and accurate data entry skills requiredproficient with microsoft outlook, excel and wordbe a problem solver and expect change.be a resource for sales staff.be ready for a changing and challenging environment
