job summary

reporting to the senior director of enterprise procurement, in this role, the manager will work in a team environment that is high-growth, fast moving, and constantly changing. they will embrace ambiguity and collaborate across teams to develop new approaches and solve complex business problems. as a supplier diversity program manager, he/she will drive strategies, planning, development, and execution of supplier diversity initiatives from inception to conclusion. they will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement while being part of an environment where team members can grow, learn, do their best work, and feel appreciated

primary duties & responsibilities

this position must develop strong relationships throughout globe and third party vendors.responsible for evolving and implementing a strong program foundation via extensive cross-functional collaboration, analyzing efficiency and driving optimization of diverse supplier interactions.success will come from demonstrating strategy, execution, positive relationship building and proficiency in holding vendors accountable based on measurable success criteria.partner with manager, environmental, social, and governance and internal thought leaders to develop three year plan for dei to continue to mature globe's program (including setting annual goals).work with business leaders to align dei strategies with vendors and support rfp responses.accountable for vendor diversity reporting and leading expansionbe a catalyst for third party vendor industry dei performance.establish and lead globe's diversity committee, and help identify globe's diversity champions.collaborate with globe's marketing & communications and corporate secretary to communicate globe's dei initiatives and performance both internally and externally.work under "hybrid"office model within the encouraged work hours and schedule including required meetings and timely attendancework performed primarily in an office environment, consisting of light to moderate physical activity, including use of computer, telephone and/or other office equipmentall team members must adhere to globe's mission statement, core values, and company policies and customer service standards.required skills:

education & work experience required

ba/bs in business or related fieldapplicable licenses or certificationsminimum 5 years' experience working in supplier diversity program managementdemonstrated expertise in developing supplier diversity strategiesexperience in the insurance industry preferredoutstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly and concisely communicate information at multiple levels, adapting easily to changeability to effectively collaborate with peers and executives and build consensus
