in this role, you will be heading a team and also manufacturing facility, driving efficient and cost-effective production results to meet requirements, specifications and targets by coordinating and plant equipment, personnel and production processes. also you will aid in the transformation of parts and raw materials into abb products in a timely and cost-effective manner, developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to help the organization achieve the highest level of operational performance.

manufacturing unit manager



your responsibilities

preparing annual production budgets, overseeing progress, and identifying actions to mitigate risk, remaining within budget and resource constraintsidentifying deficiencies and proposing improvements, and implementing actions to improve production performance, integrating lean manufacturing methodology into productionimplementing abb’s process improvement methodology (4q program) training and methodsoverseeing manufacturing subcontracts and managing subcontractors with other functions, including procurement & logisticsworking with hr management to ensure that the manufacturing team is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directedguiding, motivating and developing less-experienced team members to reach their potentialensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental directives, implementing regulations, and monitoring and reporting progress and results



your background

bachelor degree or equivalent experience required with minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing leadershipknowledge of mts high volume production, machinery intense operationdemonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skillsexperience in hse, maintenance, facilities, quality, materials, lean/ci, engineering, training and development of leaders and direct reportscandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the us
