melissa tree with robert half is partnering with a growing client to hire a human resources manager. the hr manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department and in charge of implementing a talent acquisition process and software program. if you thrive in a dynamic work environment that requires the ability to balance multiple responsibilities, this may be the role for you.


what you get to do every single day

- keep historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

- enhance the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

- evaluate reports provided by the hr team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

- institute management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

- be familiar with and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

- represent your team at interdepartmental meetings with other managers

- administer exit interviews and procedures

- be in charge of human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

- oversee all hr activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

- establish recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with hr methodologies and labor laws

- research compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

- inform employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

- ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing


- bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant field


- ability to view issues with impartiality


- impeccable ethics, integrity, and standards


- 5+ years in human resources

3+ years of recruiting experience


- extensive knowledge of hr policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure


- trained in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion


- adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution


- possess strong organizational and follow-up skills


- knowledge of hr software and strong familiarity of ms office


- phr/sphr or other relevant certifications are preferred


- an understanding of the key principles of employment law and eeoc regulations
