the mflc program provides critical support services to all active-duty military services members and their families at all military installations conus and oconus to enhance and maintain military and family readiness. the program supports over 2500 personnel.



leidos is seeking a pilot program project lead to support building new programs for the mflc program.


the ideal candidate will have proven experience in program design, implementation, execution, monitoring and improvement.  that candidate will work as part of a cross-functional team to propose and obtain approval for pilot programs that  address specific initiatives of the mflc program in response to data-driven need identification and customer request.  the pilot program project lead must be able to interact with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts, be agile and adaptable, able to propose and execute tasks, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 


responsibilities

ability to work both independently and as part of a teamwork collaboratively with the program manager, deputy program manager, operations leadership team, subject matter experts and the identified customer stakeholders to develop and implement content to meet the needs of identified pilot program initiativeswork collaboratively with the cce leadership team, pmo, program leadership, and subject matter experts to develop training materials, program materials, strategic communications and reporting on the operational and performance metrics of  pilot program(s)work with a cross-functional team to conduct onboarding and orientation training and ensure a lifecycle approach to staff training to include onboarding, sustainment, compliance, and professional development training necessary to effectively execute pilot program(s)maintain close communications with key internal and external stakeholders and internal team members across multiple areas on pilot program development, delivery, and design solutionscollaborate with project/team leads regarding solution design, process and/or approachesparticipates in  program leadership meetings to regularly review program metrics and data-driven analysis of current state and future needs and proactively suggests improvements or remediation as needed, including opportunities for new pilot program creation to meet targeted needsknowledgeable in research methodology, construction of experimental design, and program evaluationability to develop and maintain project schedules, key program milestones, program assessments and customer deliverablesability to interface with installation stakeholders to build relationships and remove barriers to pilot program executionknowledgeable and abreast of current industry research and trends that effect military service members and their families and leverages to bring innovative solutions to the mflc program

minimum requirements

ba degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6 10 years of prior relevant experience10 + years’ experience in project  management and leading project  executiondemonstrated experience in providing superior customer service to both internal and external customersskill in handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlineshigh comfort level with the use of technology for communication and task completionexperience and understanding of being part of a virtual teamability to work both independently and as part of a teamability to manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitmentsbalances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeedfocuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; remains open to others' ideas and tries new thingsoral communication - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skillsquality - demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality

preferred qualifications

master’s in education, curriculum design, systems engineering or equivalent preferredknowledge of military family issues and in-depth knowledge of military family programsunderstanding and/or experience of mflc programpmp certification
