job summary:

the reporting and analytics business analyst position is responsible for a full range of activities related to the planning, development, deployment, and support of new and existing projects impacting sales admin and will support all aspects of the reporting and analytics team.

primary duties & responsibilities:

uses design thinking to evaluate the needs of the stakeholder as they identify the answers to key business questions.participates in the creation of the persona and all other documentation related to requests that come from multiple companies within globe life.critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.collaborates with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical and project goals.collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.monitors milestone completion, tracks all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. this includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking requests.conducts project meetings, meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines, and meets with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products.facilitate meetings for all levels of the organization.provides status updates and reporting on assigned projects.perform other duties as deemed necessary/appropriaterequired skills:

knowledge, skills, & abilities:

must be able to see the big picture and identify key business questions that need to be answered.proficiency in microsoft office applicationsmust work well under pressure, with a focus on organization and accuracy while maintaining multiple projects2 or more years' experience as an analyst or in related fieldability to understand high level business requirementsstrong organizational skills and time management with experience meeting deadlinesmust be able to plan and meet specific project target completion datesability to multi-task with very high attention to detailqualified candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to understand technical requirements.required experience:

education & work experience required:

bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business administration, computer science or related fieldinsurance industry experience a plus
