the purpose of this position is to work with the cost planning department and other keihin north america (kna) departments to develop a strong price strategy that supports keihin's profit targets. additionally, will work with both the customer and the manufacturing plants to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and design (qcdd) expectations are met. focus on customer satisfaction and kna profitability. become the expert of understanding the knowledge and history for assigned products.

job summary:

maintain strong lines of communication with customer and knj/kna groups develop quotations and logic to support the (mp / tooling / acd / nm / ecn / etc.) support price setting for new model based on global and management strategies support kna departments for qcdd activities support new model development team and attend team meetings support cost improvement projects and other activities as required. other duties as assigned confer with and prepare reports for upper management and possibly other keihin companies analyze technology, resource needs, market demand, and confer with all departments to assess feasibility of projects recommend cost savings ideas and efficiency for the facility maintain clean and orderly work environment understand and maintain knowledge of all processes, procedures and equipment for kna facilities, products, and supply chain

education: 2-year degree or 3 or more years of related work experience

experience:

must have excellent communication and leadership skills. quotation and customer service experience. must have the proven ability to make sound business decisions; exercise good judgement; solve problems effectively; project and maintain a professional, highly motivated, positive image, and demeaner; high level of effectiveness working independently or as part of a team. must have exceptional math skills, including the ability to analyze costs and calculate profit targets/margins. negotiation skills. experience with product drawings and design changes. high ethical standards. advanced knowledge of windows, microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint required. intermediate experience required in windows, msword, excel, and powerpoint advanced experience with glovia preferred

job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

supervisory responsibilities: will not supervise; but may be responsible for training others and leading repair teams.
