position summary:

the finance development program (fdp), based out of avon, oh, is a rotational program for individuals with minimal experience that are career minded and possess leadership potential. this position will be assigned a mentor from the finance leadership team to focus on individual development. the rotations include positions within corporate accounting, financial planning & analysis and operational finance which will allow for exposure in various areas of finance. two 9 – 12 month rotations will be completed at our corporate headquarters in avon, oh.  one 9 – 12 month rotation will involve and require up to 50% travel to our plant locations in bowling green, ky or huntington, in. upon completion of the program, you will be deployed into a role that aligns with your strengths and interests as well as education assistance for graduate degree.

function overviews:

cost accountant, 1 (corporate)

fundamental understanding of sap costing (routings, bill of materials, master data) understand how standards are developed (material, labor and overhead) exposure to physical inventory and e&o reconciliations understanding of material planning process and how it impacts the profitability of the business

operations analyst (plant location)

serves as a supporting member of the plant team supporting financial analysis, financial processes and controls, and data integrity assists annual and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes assist in physical inventory orchestration work with various accounting activities running queries, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and ad hoc analysis

analyst 1, fp&a (corporate)

support the review and validation of the monthly financial packages support of department spend reviews and analysis assembly of main kpi package to support the monthly business review support the assembly and communication of allocated one-time costs to the product groups learn the epm planning and consolidation software and utilize it to build basic analytical queries ad hoc reporting

experience:

0 to 2 years accounting or finance experience experience holding a leadership position such as student organizations, extracurricular activities or similar

skills:

possesses solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills possesses organization skills with the ability to work as a team player in a high stress environment self-starter that takes initiative in all aspects of the job excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills capable of performing as an effective team member solid computer skills including microsoft office possesses the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

education:

bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required  

position requirements:
