the day-to-day:

cordially greeting and welcoming guests - consistently;managing the guest-experience through the following:providing courteous and professional check-ins and check-outs;recommending on- and off-site amenities;working with housekeeping leadership to ensure requested room-types are accurately assigned;communicating all pertinent information to affected individuals and departments in a timely fashion;working with the front office leader to oversee front desk team (including the bell-staff);fielding escalated feedback from all guests;ensuring that the skillset of all front desk and bell associates is in-line with expectations of the brand and the organization; ability to understand the hotel's inventory system and selling strategies;ensuring the effective communication of departmental information through logs, meetings, and systems (including pms).

education and/or experience: prior experience expected (minimum of one year in full-service front office management).

language skills: ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

physical demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. the employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
