Forklift operator 2nd shift - united states, elgin
3:30 pm to midnight
essential duties and responsibilities the essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
preparing orders for shipment including but not limited to: picking and pulling, packaging finished orders/products for shipping (staging, shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling), loading/unloading trucks, cleaning and maintaining a safe and clean environment by keeping aisles, shelves and work areas/stations neat and free of debris, reporting discrepancies and mistakes immediately, completing damage reports when necessary, complying with all company policies and procedures, operating forklift, communicating and cooperating with co-workers, supervisors, managers and workers from other shifts, turning off and locking out equipment when not in use, performing back-up for other order pickers or checkers, follows quality standards to assure safety is first and immediately reporting safety issues or incidents immediately, contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related goals for results as needed, other duties as assigned.
minimum qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities) high school diploma or ged preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 2-3 years of related experience working in similar industry or warehouse environment forklift certification and/or applicable certification for heavy equipment operation. good oral and written communication skills (english), as well as organizational and time management skills
