aws architect
(internally known as a senior technical consultant)
the aws architect will serve as a technical thought leader and sme for our public cloud ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers. the aws architect works as part of the consulting team to support the design and implementation of the cloud solution. the aws architect supports the implementation of infrastructure as code (iac), everything as code (eac), devsecops ci/cd pipeline automation strategies. the aws architect recommends, evaluates, and implements methods to optimize and enhance the application within the cloud environment to maximize performance and minimize costs. this is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as learn new technologies.
roles and responsibilities
· designs and implements complex, mission-critical cloud-based enterprise it solutions for clients.
· develops application refactoring and re-platforming designs targeting commercial or government clouds within aws using iaas and paas services
· creates and presents solution designs, options, ideas, and innovations to clients’ senior leadership teams.
· develops and maintains technical roadmaps and innovation plans.
· develops and implements devsecops cicd cloud automation tool strategy.
· establishes project estimates and plans, identifies risks and mitigations, oversees development and delivery of technical solutions.
· mentor and support less experienced teammates
· actively lead collaboration within our technical communities
qualifications
· 6+ years of it experience and 3+ years of aws experience.
· aws certification(s) such as solutions architect pro, devops engineer pro, sysops admin, developer associate.
· hands-on experience in programming with java, python or any other language.
· excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
· knowledge of modern cloud-native application design principles, devsecops, infrastructure as code (iac), cicd pipelines, microservices, containers, etc.
· hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, using cloudformation, terraform, or other tools.
· familiar with windows server and linux virtualized operating systems environments
