the software test development engineer plans, conducts and coordinates a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. develop and implement appropriate tests to ensure compliance with test specifications and generally accepted standards and provides support for development efforts. proactive develops and implements measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

your responsibilities
primary responsibilities are in the area of software testing, create test and monitor test results of embedded softwarecoordinate testing of products with lab test engineers, work with an international test team to coordinate testing efforts,support customer field issues that are beyond the scope of local factory support teamrecommend ways of continual improvement in existing software test processesexpertise in developing test plans, design and implementing atf testsstrong working knowledge of programming languages like c, c++ and c#.proficiency in using debugging tools like sw emulators, oscilloscopes and serial communication capture tools. proficient in testing of serial communication protocols, software build tools, version control, scripting languages and unit testing, robot framework or other similar keyword-driven testing framework.
your background
bachelor degree in engineering and two years of related in software testing or r&d experience. candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the usa.
