Quality assurance engineer - united states, bridgeport

nesco resource is working with a medical device manufacturer in the bridgeport area to find a quality assurance engineer to join their team.
 
summary:
create and maintain the quality control functions, procedures and practices within the company. ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system. must have 5+ years of qc-qa auditing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device manufacturing.
 
essential duties and key responsibilities: include the following:
participate in cross functional quality planning. inspection methods planning, create, implement and revise process control plans and inspection work instructions. review customers' blueprints and specifications to ensure company quality plans and procedures are current. participate in material review board (mrb). investigate and recommend corrective action for product quality problems. interface with customer and suppliers concerning company quality matters. support ppap submissions, including process capability analysis and measurement system analysis and first article inspections. support and participate in cmm programing. write and execute process validation protocols and support process validations. assist in training inspection and production employees as required. conceptualize gages for manufacturing and inspection use. proficient knowledge of ansi/asme, y14.5m dimensioning and tolerance, knowledge of osha, ansi, and related safety regulations. perform special assignments as directed by the quality manager. other duties may be assigned.
