the role reports to the production manager and is located in new berlin, wisconsin. as a production assembler, you will be responsible for building the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company production standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures, under the direction of production supervision.



your responsibilities

assemble products, following engineering documents, ensuring the highest quality products, meeting company product standards, production goals, and customer specifications and delivery requirementsoperate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobsperform operator based go-no go testing per procedurescontinually monitor quality of parts used in the assembly processassist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problemsperform material handling activities as requiredreview assembly processes and methods and recommend changes to ensure the continuous, on going improvement of productivity and qualityinterface with engineering to accurately communicate informationcomplete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.participate actively in team meetings and group discussionsfollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. maintain departmental housekeeping standards



your background

requires a high school diploma or equivalent. six months of related manufacturing / shop floor assembly experience requiredability to read and comprehend english assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manualsability to communicate one on one with other employees of the organizationrequires ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldering tools, hand taps and punches, hand trucks, heat guns, a variety of precision measuring devices, a computer and keyboard, etc.candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for abb in the us
