construction materials testing technician (cmt)
essential duties:
field testing and sampling of soils, concrete & asphalt materials at construction project sitesprepare daily reports, document inspection observations, and deliver accurate test results to project stakeholdersregularly interprets construction drawings, plans and specificationsroutinely performs basic math calculations including addition, division, percentage & fractionscommunicates effectively with clients, supervisors, and project personnel
qualifications requirements:
valid driver's licenseaci certification preferredability to read and interpret test standards, safety rules, technical procedures and manualsmust be able to effectively communicate with diverse groups of peoplemust be proficient in basic writing and mathematical concepts such as percentage/ratios, multiplication, length/width/height/depth equations and able to apply these concepts to practical situationsmust be able to lift up to 50 lbs; must be ambulatory and able to stand, walk, climb, crawl and balance for sustained work; must be dexterous and able to use fingers to hand control, wheelbarrows, handle or feel objects/tools/controls. must be able to operate dangerous hand tools and equipment with careprior inspection certifications and basic computer literacy, a pluspolicy requirements
