job description
our large retail client is looking for a candidate that is in tested in a project coordinator role that could lead to higher levels of responsibility and a chance to work with the senior pm within the point of sale (pos) team. this would pertain to all aspects of the development/implementation of a systems project or program involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a computer-based system from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers.

responsibilities

providing a single point of contact for projects assisting the senior pm with taking projects from original concept through final implementation interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services helping with planning and scheduling as well as project budgets conducting project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables monitoring the product/program/project from initiation through delivery and interfacing with the customer on technical and non-technical matters working with senior pms to assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals preparing meeting minutes, managing sharepoint sites and teams channels liaising with vendors, coordinating project schedules, attending cutovers, driving project communications, status reporting, supporting bridge lines, managing service requests, and building/maintaining project artifacts as needed

requirements

2+ years of experience in project management, requirements definition and/ or deployment of business requirements to information systems able to look at data and easily identify anomalies able to take large amounts of data and organize for project team use will work directly with and support a key team member who owns this piece but needs assistance ability to embrace change capm preferred experience in hardware deployments within retail space (point of sale locations/stores or distribution center a plus) candidate must have strong appreciation for governance models demonstrate ability to appreciate governance lifecycle and have experience with artifact creation, review, and submission exposure to quality assurance testing methodologies, tools, and terminology must be able to support project teams with driving activities, and deliverables
