the opportunity:

clean harbors in north kingstown, ri is looking for hazardous waste material handler to join the team. known internally as the insite technician you will be responsible for the collection, identification, and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous us and non-hazardous waste at this specific location as well as spill response activities on site. this position offers company training to acquire a cdl class b driver's license.

key responsibilities:

ensuring that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe mannerresponsible for collecting, identifying, and packaging hazardous waste produced within customer facilityprepare waste drums for pick-up and deliveryanswer phone calls and manage customer requestmaintain cleanliness of work area and groundscompletes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movementsensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance with the policies and procedures of clean harbors.

qualifications:

high school diploma or ged equivalentvalid dl & clean driving recordability to obtain/retain class b cdl with endorsements upon hireexperience with handling hazardous materials is a plus but not requiredstrong customer service skillslocal travel as business demands require.college degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science preferred but not required
