serves members and guests during regular hours of operation, tournaments, and banquets.



essential duties and responsibilities include the following.


* ​takes beverage orders, mixes, and serves various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard company recipes; ensures proper presentation and quality standards are met.
* greets members and guests in a cheerful and helpful manner.
* maintains bar efficiency and continuity of service by stocking prior to shifts and events; ensures that stock is appropriate to the needs of members; preparing garnish trays for drinks (slicked fruit, pitted fruit); replaces beer kegs and soda bags/canisters as necessary; minimizing waste by using inventory efficiently.
* manages liquor stock by logging beginning and ending inventories.
* cleans all bar surfaces and re-stocking glassware for the next service.
* adheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated members and guests.
* sets up portable bar for indoor or outdoor sales.
* follows all company policies and procedures regarding attendance, timekeeping, dress code, and safety.
* implements and supports all american golf initiatives and programs as requested by management.
* other duties assigned by management.

minimum qualifications and skill requirements


* specialty/technical training preferred and 1 year of related experience.
* must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages, applicable state card or certificate must be provided if required by state law.
* knowledge of ingredients for various mixed drinks.
* ability to communicate effectively with members, guests, co-workers, and management.
* basic math skills required, ability to add inventories, calculate beverage charges for events, complete inventories and understand portion control for beverages.
