maintains service and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.



essential duties and responsibilities include the following:


* maintains operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, and tools following operations manuals and manufacturer's instructions
* assists clubhouse maintenance and cart mechanic with fabrications and adjustments as needed
* maintains equipment, parts and supply inventories by checking stock inventories, anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt
* provides mechanical maintenance reports by maintaining documentation of repairs and parts ordering
* provides information and training on proper use and maintenance of equipment by communicating with co-workers
* oversees shop area maintenance by ensuring that shop remains clean and orderly and that tools are kept clean and in proper working condition
* ensures operational success by obtaining event information from all departments in order to meet special maintenance requirements and requests
* resolves escalated maintenance issues
* trains, directs, and evaluates the work of other maintenance mechanics as directed

additional responsibilities:


* orders equipment and supplies as needed and approved by management
* maintains good working relationships with vendors and vendor mechanics
* performs fabrications when routine problem solving has not proven effective
* ensures warranty requirements are processed
* maintains familiarity with all safety programs
* implements and supports all american golf initiatives and programs as requested by management
* other duties may be assigned by management

minimum qualifications and skill requirements:


* high school diploma required (specialty/technical training preferred) and 2 years of related experience in reel grinding, small engine repair, welding, electrical, carpentry, or equivalent combination of educations and experience
* ability to operate the following equipment is required: diesel electric, and gasoline powered automobiles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowing equipment, backhoes, skidsteers and other mechanical equipment used in utility work, reel grinders, and small tools
* ability to read and follow manuals, evaluate manufacturer's specifications, and resolve equipment problems
* basic abilities with word and excel software
* ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, in some locations ability to communicate effectively with spanish speaking co-workers may be required
* valid driver's license
