due to progressive growth, a reputable and leading client is seeking an estimator to add to their team. the ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with 5 years minimum experience estimating asphalt/concrete paving, earthwork, utilities, road/highway for diverse commercial projects. bridge experience is a plus but not required.
responsibilities
prepare and maintain project goals and budgetsdemonstrate creativity and resourcefulness to secure the most competitive pricingorganize bid documentation and review worksheets with relevant team membersprepare comprehensive "bid day"scope and analysisconduct on-going reviews with project management to identify and resolve any potential obstaclesqualifications
5-10 years of heavy civil construction experienceexperience should include: asphalt/concrete paving, earthwork, utilities, road/highway for diverse commercial projects.great computer skills with proficiency in microsoft software suiteworking knowledge of heavy bid (hcss) and agtek takeoff softwareexcellent communication skills with various parties including management, consultants, architects, vendors, and clientsteam environment orientedcivil engineering or construction management degreethis is an excellent opportunity to get in with a family-feel company that provides stability, projects that are local, and a competitive compensation/benefits package.
