birnn chocolates of vermont, inc. is seeking a full time maintenance technician our south burlington factory.

great hours: monday – friday 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

ensure consistent operations of our production facility, machinery and overall plant operations diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment ensure equipment readiness for daily use, order spare parts, and schedule preventive maintenance take on any and all tasks as assigned, provide clear communication regarding repairs, observe and report potential issues regarding machine operations, safety concerns demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, process and packaging equipment participate in and ensure the daily housekeeping of the facility execute tasks in a timely manner without compromising safety, plant or machine integrity execute preventative maintenance routines while not interfering with an aggressive production schedule

provide competent and effective mechanic maintenance support to warehouse system operations perform preventative maintenance, identify and correct problems of equipment using appropriate perform work requests and projects inspect and listen to equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication maintain clean, well-organized work area while performing all assigned tasks in a manner consistent with company safety and environmental requirements perform other related building maintenance duties lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to mechanical systems
