job summary:
galapagos federal systems, llc is looking to immediately fill our open senior systems administrator iii position. the individual shall assist the it office by working within special access programs (saps) supporting the dod. the position will provide "day-to-day"direct support for collateral, sensitive compartmented information (sci), and sap networks to ensure jsig criteria is followed. task may include, but are not limited to:
essential duties and responsibilities: (not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:
provide independent assessments of the air force and u.s. space force it posture and advise ussf/te leadership on decision optionsinitiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programsprovide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to test range program and staffprovide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issuesoversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific jobconfigures, operates, monitors, secures, and sustains all internal network devicesmaintains rack space assigned to the equipment and ensures connectivity to the lan. repairs or replaces any defective cabling in the networkinstalls, removes, relocates, and maintains existing horizontal and vertical cable infrastructure, to include cabling on wall drop boxes, equipment racks, cable trays, rack mounted ups, switches, routers and serversprovides internal hardware and software accountability support to the logistics section. aassembles, installs, disassembles, uninstalls, and moves it and electronic equipment in offices and common-use areas.qualifications:
