we are seeking an assistant plant manager for our salisbury, north carolina plant.

summary:

the assistant plant manager primary responsibility will be governance of the plant's operating system, new product line launch support along with major capital investment roi inclusive of hse and quality. this position will work with the technical team on site machine capacity analysis, customer uplift evaluations and be the primary contact during times the plant manager isn't available. functional support responsibilities will be to work with all direct reports to establish individual department purpose maps with critical process indicator along with key performance actions and plant swot analysis. this position is a member of the management review team for plant quality operating system and the tat na operating system.

essential job functions:

establish and/or update plant purpose map to develop cpi and kpa's, swot analysis to drill down to the functional department, site leaders to action impact of hourly team members.lead and support 2 gemba walks/day starting at 8:30 am and another in the afternoon.lead plant operations to ensure product launch objectives, project capital needs and customer build requirements are being met along with product line profitability targets inclusive of minimum manufacturing margin percentage.capital investments are meeting launch targets and roi.support annual performance reviews for direct reports and establish a succession plan.validate the appropriate staffing and employee development throughout the organization inclusive of required direct labor (rtr) for a rolling 12 weeks to support customer requirements is being completed as required.support plant safety rules, teijin automotive technologies na policies and procedures.participate as a member of the plant management review team for iatf16949.participate on plant safety committee is in place and functioning inclusive of hourly team members and salary.participate on plant quality and recycling committee's to be in place and supported inclusive of hourly team members and salary with agreed upon purpose and metric(s).support cyclical productive inventory system is in place and teams are engaged to validate and improve as required accuracy.work within the community to be a good community steward.

qualifications:

pursuing a bachelor's degree and/or 7-10 years of experience in a lead management position within a manufacturing operation.manufacturing of automotive products such as composites, plastics, injection molded parts, body panels recommended.excellent interpersonal skills at a management level position and can work /communicate with any level of the organization.good management skills (decision making, problem solving, staff development and motivation).
