Head of ingestion global program - united states, zaranj

we are looking for an innovative, results-oriented transformation leader with requisite experience and ambition to drive the ipa global ingestion program. the successful candidate must have experience with the planning and implementation of data, process and business automation across the insurance value chain. they will be self-motivated, creative and able to independently lead this major strategic initiative.

the successful candidate will act as a liaison between the business, our technology organization, system integrators (si) and external partners by planning, conducting and directing the analysis of highly complex business and data problems to be solved. she/he will provide functional and technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing ingestion capabilities that are cost effective and meet all business requirements; factoring current and future state. the successful candidate will work with teams of internal specialists in data, underwriting, distribution, technology, claims, operations and business solution and architecture.

this leader will collaborate with members of senior leadership team and executive partners across our global business units and functions. she/he will focus on ingestion initiatives that drive operating leverage and efficiency for chubb, while delivering improved experiences and better outcomes for our intermediaries.

requirements

execute the global operating model for the ingestion program support and be a driver with the business in alignment of the ingestion business, operation and technology strategies engage with the business and functional units to identify initial ingestion opportunities, support the development of cost-benefit analyses, influence senior leaders to adopt new approaches and support the execution of the appropriate business and technology improvements partner with the business and functional units to identify additional ingestion opportunities drawing in appropriate support resources (internal and external) implement best practices for implementing ingestion including change management provide direction and leadership to a team of highly capable transformation leads, data scientists, business solution leaders; automation and reengineering subject matter experts support the development of the analysis and design methodology including the related policies, procedures, tools and artifacts to ensure an “agile” implementation process that aligns with established release cycles and related enterprise standards support the identification and implementation of solutions, internal / external necessary to support the ingestion program in partnership with coc members, the epmo, business and technology partners, complete assessments of ingestion opportunities manage the program in partnership with the epmo and coordinate with the business, technical & business architecture leads on the ingestion program’s overall project status drive for detailed ingestion specific business functional and nonfunctional requirements always ensuring that risk & compliance requirements are met establish the best practices for ingestion and data technologies ensure our business operations leverage data driven learnings for continuous improvement provide thought leadership on ingestion and future opportunities in emerging technologies, tools, and suppliers (partners).

knowledge/skills/abilities/success factors

tertiary qualifications in business, data, engineering, mathematics or information management insurance domain or financial services knowledge 10+ years of a data science, technology or insurance domain underwriting experience or a combination of both 10+ years of leadership experience driving major cross-functional operational improvements in a highly matrixed organization strong agile and project management skills experience with formal quality systems, such as lean and six sigma a broad business unit view of the business and understanding of strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance ability to effectively interact with the full spectrum of disciplines necessary through the ideation, business case, design and development lifecycle (i.e. business, service / operations, claim, finance, business process design, analysis, functional / technical design, development, architecture) an appropriate balance of objective, analytical orientation with a desire to move things to conclusion and deliver results strong eq; able to build and maintain relationships across business and technology a fascination with automation / new technologies ability to manage through a highly federated organization with functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.  those issues may exist in role alignment, process gaps and overlaps, and business capability maturity gaps change agent, able to define the future state and implement change as necessary ability to drive multiple teams globally excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills proven ability as a structured, logical thinker ability to navigate and work with key business, system integrator, technology supplier relationships comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment energy and resolve in overcoming challenges in various contexts an ability to adjust and adapt to the rolling, day-to-day changes that transpire in the running of large initiatives proactive – gets the job done and can work within tight deadlines highly motivated – get things done right attitude demonstrates effective teamwork excellent communicator excellent interpersonal skills able to interact with all functions and all levels of employees creative problem solver strong analytical and organizational skills.
