  a successful production supervisor will impact the business by:

engage and motivate members with fairness and respect to progress in their roles.  provide consistent and open feedback to help members achieve their full potential.  use root cause analysis to ensure corrective actions for quality, safety, delivery, cost, materials, downtime, etc. are addressed with proper and action plans.ensures proper and appropriate training, counseling, and discipline is provided for members in accordance with company policies, procedures, and philosophy.lead projects to achieve results in strategic initiatives while supporting productivity, cost reductions, delivery, safety, and quality through effective management of capital investments, operating expenses, project management, staffing and wages.

required qualifications

bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering or industrial technology or related technical discipline preferred 5 years of effective leadership experience in a manufacturing environment may substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.

skills and abilities

must have intermediate to advanced computer skills must be organized, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.demonstrated strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.preferred knowledge of lean principles (jit, cycle time, value stream map, a3, zero defects, pfep, cycle time, etc.).
