position summary

the network administrator works for and under the general direction of the it network director. responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining and implementing network infrastructure across the organization. willingness to assist it staff across the globe with issues and other responsibilities as required.

key responsibilities

network installation: this position will play a role in rolling out new hardware and implementing sd-wan across a worldwide enterprise consisting of over 150 locations across the globe.

network connectivity: provides support for network connectivity or related network issues for the user community.

network monitoring: analyze network activity and network problems to discover and prevent systematic error. recommends network design changes and enhancements to improve operations.

issue resolution: troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves network problems. researches, analyzes and recommends the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify any network deficiencies or to enhance network performance.

performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

professional experience/qualifications

required

four years of cisco network related  it work experience.

knowledge of enterprise system monitoring and management tools such as, wireshark and prtg.

background working in a large networking environment closely and closely with engineers across the globe in a multi-national corporate environment.

experience with cisco enterprise grade products to include: nexus, ios, anyconnect, ise.

experience working with troubleshooting and implementing dmvpn, qos, bgp, eigrp, multicast.

experience with palo alto firewalls, f5, or sd-wan technologies such as cloudgenix.

preferred

experience working with cisco unified wireless networking or other wireless related technologies.

experience with cisco voip, including call manager 9.x, unity, contact center express or other voice technologies.

bachelor%26rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university.

certifications in ccna, ccnp, palo alto or other network related technologies.
