due to organic growth and acquisitions, my client is seeking to bring on a director of financial reporting and consolidations to join their team. reporting to the cfo, this individual will prepare, review, and lead the financial consolidation of the company's financial statements.

description

prepare, review and lead the financial consolidation of the company's financial statementsmanage or perform various month-end close duties including the review of business unit financial statements and various consolidation checksmanage corporate general ledger, prepare/review journal entries and prepare/review account reconciliationsidentify areas of improvements, implement new internal controls or procedures accordingly to drive efficiencyprovide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external constituenciesact as a key liaison with the various bu in the areas of technical accounting, internal controls, consolidation, accounting process or other finance and accounting topicsreview, document, implement and communicate the enforcement of correct and appropriate accounting policies and procedures in accordance with gaapprovide technical us gaap technical assistance to business units and provide research and recommendations to the corporate controller on accounting matters and where necessary prepare or assist with accounting position papersprovide guidance, training and support for the site's accounting personnel to ensure that reporting and compliance objectives are achieved while supporting talent development initiatives and performance

profile

bachelor's degree in accounting or financecpa, mba or other advanced degree preferred8+ years of accounting experienceexperience working in a pe owned company preferredconsolidations experience a musttechnical knowledge of us gaap requiredexperience and demonstrated understanding of percentage of completion accounting desiredsystems savvy with implementation experience and proficiency preferred
