my client provides commercial and residential excavation services and is looking to hire a field engineer/pm

with a civil engineering background.

job description:

this role requires plan reading and descoping tasks relevant to multiple site excavation projects. supervisory field-centric role with some office time. attention to methods and sequencing, keeping efficiency, scheduling deadlines, quality control, and cost control in mind. effective communication with foreman and project manager to maintain controls and timelines. strategic communication with owners, general contractors, engineers/architects and other third-party entities. daily, concise relaying of information to executive staff as project details change.

qualifications:

·         civil engineering background required.

·         field experience with excavation work highly recommended.

·         strong communication skills.

·         ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·         basic understanding of cad required (proficiency desired).

·         proficient in plan reading.

·         proficient use of simple spreadsheets (excel, smartsheet).

·         understanding of basic business fundamentals (cash flow, supply and demand, costing).
