core responsibilities: 



actively participate in the benefits strategy process
perform detailed analysis of plans/programs and vendors as well as perform data/financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives
provide analytical, technical and project management support as it relates to benefits administration, implementations, reporting, and compliance measures
regularly assess plan data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention toward benefits enrollment and benefit plan financial performance
participate in benchmarking activities, industry surveys and/or conduct employee surveys/focus groups to assess competitive standing and employee sentiment
participate in the development of presentations for senior leadership on benefit plans/programs and recommendations
proactively identify and troubleshoot administration processes to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery in support of an engaging employee experience
responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining employee benefit communications for assigned benefit programs (i.e., plan documents, marketing/educational content, web maintenance)
develop weekly u.s. wellbeing content and leveraging opportunities to standardize wellbeing communications, globally
proactively identify and troubleshoot administration processes and technology opportunities to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery in support of an engaging employee experience
serve as a subject matter expert for assigned benefit programs using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex matters with employees, hr managers and/or vendors
assist with annual open enrollment process including plan implementation, systems testing, and communication development
aid in the review of plan documents and materials to ensure appropriate provisions and coverages
coordinate health and welfare governmental filings and reports, as required by law (e.g., aca, 5500s, pcori, etc.)

qualifications: 



bachelor's degree and 3-5 years’ experience working in a strategic role either in a benefits department or benefits consulting
in-depth experience in current benefits administration practices with exposure to the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of benefits programs
cebs, cbp accreditation, preferred
knowledge of ukg pro (ultipro), highly desirable
understanding of current health & wellness plan design approaches, insurance products, regulatory environment
must have advanced ms excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookups, formulas. power bi or other visualization tools, highly desirable
excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
self-starter with ability to manage ambiguity and demonstrate results
excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
effective organizational, project management and multi-tasking skill set, and ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines
superior detail orientation: values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work
innovative and solutions focused
strategic thinking skills; handles complex issues and problems
strong project management skills
knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the aca, erisa, cobra, fmla, ada, section 125, social security and dol requirements
