job summary : responsible to perform door to door transportation for disabled passengers approved by the nycta with company vehicles.

duties and responsibilities :

perform a daily inspection involving a walk around inspection complete a daily pre & post trip inspection report inspection of vehicles seatbelts, vehicle seats, wheelchair tie downs and wheelchair lift aar service shall be operated on a door to door basis report to dispatch any service problems as they occur record the time and mileage of vehicle at the time of pull-out and pull-in perform the routes as shown on the manifest operate heating and air conditioning system to provide for the comfort of customers operate the wheelchair lift from outside of the vehicle using a remote device offer and provide boarding and exiting assistance to every customer

qualifications :

valid nys cdl class c with passenger endorsement unrestricted license in effect for 3 years must be 21 years of age must qualify for article 19-a and 21 nycrr part 6 of the nys department of motor vehicle no more than4 points accumulated within 3 years no conviction for driving and vehicle while impaired or intoxicated within 5 years no suspension or revocation of license during the 3 years cannot have three or more moving violations within 3 years cannot have three or more at fault accidents within 3 years satisfactory results from a drug and alcohol test administered in accordance with fta regulations
