the primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
• lead in-house creative design team tasked with developing creative that delivers creative strategy and brings the brand to life across all touchpoints
• brand steward - ensuring brand has a consistent look, feel, and tone of voice across all channels, products and brand touchpoints
• manage external agency partners, photographers, freelancers, design tool licenses and other resources to support the creative development needs of the brand
• guide traffic/project managers to prioritize work to hit deadlines and maximize resources. clearly communicate timelines internally and with business partners.
• partner with cross-functional teams and act as brand sme to ensure consistency of written and visual communications that are aligned with brand standards. acts as brand consultant on a wide variety of internal and external projects.
• develop client’s overall brand book and style guide in partnership with internal teams and external agency partners.
• coach, inspire and mentor reports to develop and enhance skills providing clear and constructive feedback that fosters growth
• present all creative work to internal stakeholders that persuades and enhances understanding on all levels.
• elevate the importance of design within the organization by creating understanding of its role in driving our differentiation and place within the market
• responsible for creative design budgets, monthly forecasting, invoice processing and budget management.

qualifications (education & experience)

qualifications include:
• bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, communication design or a related field
• agency or in-house agency experience required
• retail/lifestyle brand experience (a plus)
• strong technical skill set for hands-on work
• demonstrated success in translating brand strategies into creative design while establishing and driving brand voice across key consumer touch points
• a minimum of 10+ years, including successfully leading creative teams-retail/design experience preferred
• conceptual abilities in both the creative and logical presentation of ideas & messages
• experience working collaboratively with creative and product/marketing managers
• a strong understanding of the fundamentals of marketing communicationadobe creative cloud
