dnv – markets and risk's analytics and digitalization group is seeking a creative and collaborative project coordinator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to join our growing team. the project coordinator will provide critical project support to project managers and project team members on a variety of exciting projects in the energy industry.

this position is based out of our north america offices, including portland me, medford ma, north andover ma, new york ny, or middletown ct.

what you'll do

act as a liaison between project managers and other corporate departments, including legal, accounting, human resources, marketing, and information technology (it), helping to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures support project managers with project start-up activities by coordinating with accounting, legal, it and other corporate departments to establish projects in the accounting system, execute and file contractual documents, and set up necessary data storage procedures support project managers with project kick-off activities, both internal and client facing. this includes scheduling meetings, coordinating with subcontractors, creating project templates in ms word, ms excel, and ms powerpoint, and communicating information related to the project provide project execution and control support to project managers including: assist with regular status reporting and invoicing activities by: reviewing time, expense and accounting reports for accuracy, reviewing subcontractor invoices, maintaining budget tracking information, and preparing invoices according to corporate and client specifications track outstanding project receivables and when necessary, research and resolve issues related to payment of invoices. enter project-related data into corporate accounting and project management systems (e.g., oracle, jira, ms sharepoint, power bi) work with project managers to track execution of approved work plans, including tracking project deliverable dates and issuing reminders to team members when appropriate assist project managers with effective facilitation of team and client meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking/proactively following up on action items via jira  assist project managers by serving as a project task lead or deputy project manager provide status updates to project teams on work performed to date, timelines, spending, and project risks. assisting in the projections process each month by coordinating with project managers, finance, and project coordinators to update project trackers

position qualifications

associates degree in business or related discipline; bachelor's degree preferred. prior experience in a project coordination role in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. excellent written and verbal english communications skills. demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively. excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service attitude and team-oriented spirit. ability to take direction from multiple people and perform highly varied tasks. advanced microsoft office skills required: outlook, excel, powerpoint, and word; preferred: sharepoint, jira, power bi and teams prior experience or interest in agile project management. proven track record of success in the administrative field. report graphics aptitude is a plus. ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. initiative to identify and complete necessary tasks, and opportunities for operational efficiency. we conduct pre-employment drug and background screening excellent written and verbal english communications skills
