 position summary
the composite operator may be cross-trained in light rtm (load and inject), trim and/or lamination functions and be utilized, in those functions, throughout the facility, based on customer demand.
  
  what you will do:
  lrtm:

ensure proper waxing and care of molds/back shells (tape test every time)use proper loading techniques to ensure material is placed correctly prior to injectioninstall the back shell without the glass fallingproperly use the injection machine – automatic or manual systemsensure proper vacuum operation; check/detect/correct leaksmix resin/fillers safely and properlyuse proper pulling techniques, checking for flaws in the part before and after pullingidentify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformanceproper use of hoistmaintain forklift licensefollow safety guidelines and wear required ppemaintain all necessary documentation related to position trim:
 
properly inspect, use and care for cutting toolsproperly seat part in fixture and clamp in correct areas for proper tightnesstroubleshoot when vacuum fixtures do not hold sealcut to scribe lineread ruleruse go/no go gaugesconfirm route card has been signed off for every step that has been completedread, understand and follow work proceduresfollow safety guidelines and wear required ppemaintain all necessary documentation related to position lamination:
 
properly assemble and disassemble/clean the lamination gunchop or hand lay material in an even coat not using too much or too little resinselect proper rollers and roll out all air pocketskeep resin and catalyst filledread, understand and follow work proceduresidentify defects and follow proper procedure for non-conformancefollow safety guidelines and wear required ppemaintain all necessary documentation related to position 
 what you need to be successful:
 
prior experience in composites or similar industry preferredstrong problem-solving ability including troubleshooting and resolving issuesmust be able to stand for prolonged periods of timemust be able to reach and bend on a consistent basismust be able t occasionally lift 50 lbsability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environmenteffective communication skills, both verbal ad writtenability to organize and prioritize workloadability to exercise initiative and sound judgmentability to work in harmony with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude with overall success in mindevidence of a satisfactory work record including performance, attendance and teamworkability to remain calm under pressure and deal with issues logically and within the company guidelinesavailable for overtime as needed  why join our team:
