the opportunity:

reporting to the general counsel, finance, compliance and staff services, the compliance manager will be responsible for supporting the management of all aspects of enterprise and cross-functional compliance for the organization, including related to regulatory obligations, data privacy, market and industry standards, and internal governance procedures, and executing key compliance functions including those related to policies. this position will lead a small compliance team and work closely with business process owners and system owners across the organization and will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the company's operations and systems which support its compliance reporting processes.



what you'll do at enel:

support multi-jurisdictional compliance strategy and program for organization covering wide range, including regulatory obligations, data privacy (including applicable privacy regulatory requirements and information security), market and industry standards, and internal governance procedures.support risk assessments on cross-functional business operations to identify risks and develop appropriate risk management strategy.monitor applicable laws, regulations and industry standards with possible impact on company business in partnership with other divisions within the organization. maintain up to date knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry developments and trends applicable to business.ensure company policies and controls are updated appropriately and timely, to track dynamic business and regulatory and market/industry developments to ensure ongoing compliance.work with business partners to address control gaps and deficiencies.prepare and present reports to internal stakeholders useful in making key business decisions and recommendations on strategies for improving compliance procedures.conduct internal assessments to triage and prioritize compliance issues and resolve root causes of noncompliance.lead small team to execute compliance responsibilities, functions and controls. provide training to educate company staff on applicable compliance procedures and policies.ensure proper documentation of compliance activities.

who you are:

have strong communication and presentation skills to effectively influence and communicate with wide range of stakeholders from the company’s management team, company-wide personnel to external parties.able to produce and present effective presentations and training sessions.

what you've accomplished:

bachelor’s degree in related field.at least 5 years’ experience commensurate with this position. must be able to demonstrate a broad technical knowledge and expertise covering conduct of business matters, governance matters and regulatory risk.experience leading multi-jurisdictional and multi-specialized compliance program.versed in conducting research to identify and tackle risk areas of non-compliance.

experience defining, operating (or overseeing operation of), and testing of control procedures.

working knowledge of archer or other compliance modules/systems.

strong skills reviewing and re-engineering procedures to ensure proper control design.

strong technical aptitude in systems design.

experience with international compliance (including gdpr) and anti-money laundering a plus
