Hr manager of hris (workday) - united states, la union

the primary purpose of this position is to lead the workday hris function for the organization. this individual will take point on all hr related projects requiring workday enhancements, implementations, and integrations. this individual will serve as the functional expert and develop a suite of workday reporting to support business driving efforts and develop ad hoc reporting as needed. it is a hybrid position offering a balance of work from home with limited travel to union for training/meetings.

  responsibilities assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of workday system for human capital management (hcm), payroll, talent acquisition and more. planned future enhancements for performance, talent and learning platforms. the position will also assist in hris system upgrades, including documentation, research, and testing of delivered functionality, system modifications, and patches. other duties include documenting business processes and operational rules, helping to integrate departmental business processes and interfaces to support hr operations. serve as workday functional expert and train users on system efficiencies. set up new user security and conduct routine review of user access. create reports and/or assist users in creating reports. analyze hr data from reporting and provide findings to functional area leads. data entry of employee information (new hires, promotions, salary changes, terminations, etc.). conduct audits to ensure that accurate and up-to-date data exists in the workday system. assist the compensation/benefits and payroll managers with integrations to workday that support accurate and efficient benefits and payroll processing, as needed. testing of upgrades. work with it on interfaces (between internal system and vendor systems) or other system related problems. build meaningful relationships with both internal customers and external vendors to ensure continuous operation with speed and agility to deliver results. support in the processing of eibs into appropriate system quickly and accurately.

qualifications and requirements bachelor’s degree required. minimum of 1-2 years of experience with workday software. advanced proficiency in microsoft excel is a must. workday financials platform experience preferred.

physical requirements a balance of work-from-home and in the corporate office. prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
