integrated talent strategies (its) is seeking a project scheduler in the corpus christi, tx area to work for a top utility and energy company.
 
schedule: monday-friday 7am-4pm; possibility of ot but rare. some travel required (15%) for trainings and meetings. must have a valid driver's license. 
responsibilities: develop fully integrated resource loaded and levelized transmission field services (tfs) work schedules that optimize maintenance work plans, capital outage work, and other tfs work activities using transmission approved scheduling software and tools. comply with the transmission outage management strategy system (tomss) business rules and processes. manage tfs outage requests. assist in organizing, coordinating and attending outage coordination meetings. coordinate changes to the work schedule when an outage needs to be canceled or rescheduled. assist in prioritizing outage reservations to optimize the benefit to company both in reliability and earnings. maintain in-depth knowledge of scheduling software and upgrades to software. develop, review, and present statistical reports related to work scheduling and adherence, crew utilization, etc. interface with transmission outage/project execution teams, all departments in transmission, generation schedulers, and senior management. 
requirements: bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as engineering, engineering technology, construction management and 3 years of experience. proficient with ms office tools and ms sharepoint. ability to read and interpret one line station diagrams and transmission line switching diagrams for an electrical substation. knowledge about electric power systems, relays, electrical control circuitry or telecommunication. strong communication and organizational skills. must have a valid driver’s license.
