accountant/financial analyst-location:  santa fe springs, california
o    minimum three years' work experience in an accounting position.

schedule   7:30am - 4:00 pm; hybrid (4 days in the office/ 1 day at home) schedule available after 90 days of employment

summary
the accountant/financial analyst will (1) be trained and capable of performing all gl, payroll, payable and receivable support functions in the accounting department and (2) analyze data and prepare analytical reports to support all departmental needs.   

essential duties and responsibilities
o    support the month end closing, and annual review and periodic outside auditing requirements 
o    design and develop special reports in excel and quickbooks
o    perform gl account analysis and reconciliations
o    perform various internal auditing functions in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
o    support other members of the accounting team as needed
o    support the company's purpose, values, and culture
o    prepare and analyze client p&ls 
o    perform account reconciliations
o    analyze and prepare schedules for gl accounts
o    audit vendor invoices and preparing for payment
o    prepare automated reports in excel as requested
o    reconcile cash in all daily transactions 
o    maintaining our accounting file system
o    preparing all management reporting requested by accounting manager
o    maintain fixed asset schedules 
o    provide research and analysis in support of all outside auditor requests. 
o    assist in preparation and tracking of any company performance metrics
o    update expense schedules in the actualized forecast model
o    actualize annual forecast model on a monthly basis
skills
o    accounting degree
o    expert in excel (able to write macro's, vlookup's, pivot tables)
o    good communication skills
o    strong analytical skills
