job description: as an energy efficiency consultant working as a part of a highly motivated team, you will drive customer engagement in new and existing programs that support energy-saving solutions for residential customers. through your regular interactions with external stakeholders, energy efficiency contractors, engineers, and internal teammates including marketing and regulatory compliance, you will accomplish residential sector energy-saving goals and help lower the state’s carbon emissions. reporting manager: supervisor, energy efficiency (residential)
key responsibilities: energy efficiency consultant provides program expertise to direct and influence business partners (such as contracted vendors, and energy efficiency contractors) as well as customers on energy efficiency strategies and systems. review and approve of projects/programs, which requires an understanding of technical analysis/calculations, implementation strategies for energy-efficient technologies, and application of program rules. drive the adoption of high-efficiency hvac, including heat pump technology, to accomplish strategic electrification objectives through existing and new vendor networks. demonstrate proactive thought leadership within the residential sector through the development and design of technology implementation strategies/initiatives and process improvements. coordinate the development of documents and plans necessary to meet compliance requirements with customer-funded energy efficiency programs. drive the customer engagement process, which involves motivating vendor network, collaborating with a team of energy efficiency consultants, and working cross-functionally across teams and departments. execute the budgeting, invoicing, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and energy savings of assigned offerings.
