job overview:
a critical role for a forward thinking innovative full stack developer to support our aggressive inventory modernization efforts the sr applications programmer role is to work as part of a team dedicated to improving the user experience, data integrity, and business processes through the federation and discovery/visualization of oss and network technologies. this individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to this effort.
responsibilities:
participation in the design, configuration, deployment, integration, development and maintenance of it solutions and applications. formulates and manages system scope and objectives for assigned projects. demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, it controls and related standards. researches and identifies new and emerging technology to augment the processes of windstream. exposure to a variety of technologies such as multi-tiered applications, databases, ldap and directory services, application servers, network infrastructure, and understanding security and dataflow within these components. ensure the quality of the product code (unit testing, automated testing, documentation, participation in quality assurance) pro-actively identify opportunities to offer an improved experience to users by developing a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and functions.skills/competencies:
experience with java/j2ee/jprobe experience with various api access concepts (including rest, soap, sso, ldap, oauth2, etc) experience with micro-service architecture experience with distributed platforms and stream processing using kafka experience with sql programming experience with azure or aws cloud infrastructure and devops experience with ci/cd deployment experience with automated data reconciliation to source it systems. familiar with network topology and technology used to connect and derive data from various elements familiar with web application server technologies (e.g. iis, weblogic, or tomcat) familiar with linux/unix administration familiar with programming/markup languages such as html, css, javascript/typescript, xml familiar with frameworks and libraries such as protractor and jasmine familiar with backend development frameworks such as maven, springboot, junit familiar with application monitoring platforms, such as dynatrace, nagios, etc. familiar with data and service virtualization technologies, specifically tibco data, ca service familiar with creating and deploying applications in docker and kubernates must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and perform other requirements of the position self- motivated, organized and able to prioritize the requests received superior interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional teamminimum requirements:
college degree in a technical or related field or at least 15 years of work experience in a structured development environmentqualifications
minimum requirements: college degree in a technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7 years professional level related technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related technical experience required.
