premier company is seeking a payroll administrator to administer weekly payroll processing activities and perform all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining all related records and filings. other duties include; processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, updating procedures, and preparing payroll reports for management.


essentials duties and responsibilities:

responsible for the processing of the weekly payroll, review paychecks, generates reports verifying accuracy of payroll entries, ensures that hourly and salaried associates have completed hours scheduled within the workweek by auditing time and attendance in the time clock system. inputs all time worked, commission, bonus, and any other special pay as well as deductions from pay. makes any required changes to associate information such as pay rates, salaries, change of address, withholding or regular deductions, and posts to the payroll system. audits payroll to ensure changes were made and payroll is accurate before it is finalized. responsible for calculating pay changes for associates. maintains yearly calendar indicating scheduled pay dates, pay increase dates and quarterly payroll adjustment dates. responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, year-end or special requests for payroll reports for management. maintains all state setup for withholding and unemployment accounts. maintains and updates all vacation, sick/personal and overtime reports. enters new vacation time. makes associate profile updates including but not limited to changes in personal information, tax withholdings, direct deposits, pay and position changes. maintains, administers, and tracks all payroll garnishments. completes verification of employment forms related to associate’s pay. reports third party sick pay. ensures new leaders are trained in the payroll software. manages year end functions and the distribution of w2s. participates in yearly audits. other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

qualifications:

associate’s degree or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the payroll field. continuously researches hr policies and procedures. proficient in microsoft office suite products strong mathematical skills and attention to detail is required excellent communication skills is essential
